The Ball Game is made by Bisser Marinov, an individual developer based in Bulgaria, who is responsible for your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: support@theballgame.app.
Your progress, collection, settings, player name and Player ID are stored on your device. We can’t see them unless you play online or send them to us.
When you play online or with a friend, we process your player name, your Player ID, a random session ID, your trophy count and court, your picks (ball, level and skin) and how you launch each ball, with the time, and your IP address as part of the connection. This is needed to run the match (legal basis: providing the service you asked for, GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Our game server runs on Google Firebase (Google Ireland Limited), which processes this data for us. Match data is deleted within 30 days; waiting rooms are deleted when the match starts or expire.
The Game shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited). AdMob collects device and usage data such as your IP address (and the approximate location it reveals), device model, app interactions and, only if you allow it, your device’s advertising identifier, in order to show and measure ads and prevent fraud. For this, Google is a separate controller under its own privacy policy, which also says how long it keeps the data. Personalised ads are based on your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). In the EU, UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent before personalised ads, using Google’s consent tool; you can change your choice at any time in the Game (Profile → Privacy choices). On iPhone, the advertising identifier is used only if you allow tracking in the system prompt (Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). If you don’t consent, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads. If you bought No Ads, no ads play between matches; optional reward videos only play when you choose them. More: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
If you vote in a poll on our website, we store your vote with a random ID from Google Firebase’s anonymous sign-in, so that each visitor counts once and can change their vote; your IP address is processed as part of the connection. We don’t ask for your name or email. Votes are kept until the poll is deleted (legal basis: our legitimate interest in asking players what to add next, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Payments are handled by Apple. We receive confirmation of what you bought, not your payment details.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you and keep them for up to 2 years (legal basis: our legitimate interest in handling support, GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
We don’t sell your data, we don’t ask for your email, real name, contacts, location or photos, and we don’t use analytics tools at the moment. If that changes, we’ll update this policy first.
The Game is meant for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country (14 in Bulgaria, between 13 and 16 elsewhere in the EU), ask a parent or guardian before agreeing to personalised ads. If we learn that we hold data of a child under 13, we delete it.
Google may process data in other countries, including the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and for a copy of it. Write to support@theballgame.app and include your Player ID (Profile, top right) so we can find your matches. You can withdraw consent for personalised ads at any time. You can also complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (cpdp.bg) or the data protection authority where you live.
We may update this policy, for example when we add features. We’ll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the Game.
