FAQ

The questions we get most.

How do I play?

Each round you pick one of three balls from your collection. Pull back anywhere on the court and let go to launch it. The balls then fight on their own with their abilities. The ball that runs out of health loses, and the winning ball smashes into the loser’s owner, who loses a heart. Take all 3 hearts to win the match. You can replay the short tutorial from Profile → How to play.

Is there a time limit?

Yes. You have 20 seconds to pick your ball and 15 seconds to launch it; the timer is in the top corner of the court. If time runs out, you lose the match, so nobody is left waiting.

What are the game modes?

How do I unlock and level up balls?

Chests contain ball parts. Collect 5 parts for a Common ball, 8 for Rare, 10 for Epic or 12 for Legendary to unlock it. After that, the same number of parts raises its level, up to level 5. Each level adds 8% health and damage. Rarer balls are also stronger to begin with: Rare balls have 4%, Epic 8% and Legendary 12% more health and damage than Common ones. Parts for a ball that is already level 5 turn into coins.

What is a wish ball?

In Collection, tap a ball you don’t have yet and choose Make wish ball. From then on, half of the parts of that ball’s rarity in ball chests go to it, until you unlock it. Every player gets one wish ball, and it can’t be changed once chosen, so pick carefully.

What are trophies and leagues?

Online matches win or lose trophies: about 30 for a win and about 20 for a loss, a little more or less depending on your opponent’s trophies. Rookies lose only half. Trophies move you up through the leagues, from Rookie to Legend, and you never drop out of a league you have reached. Every 50 or 100 trophies there is a reward on the Trophy Road (tap the trophy count on the main screen). Leaving an online match, or closing the game during one, counts as a loss. Friend and practice matches don’t change trophies.

How do daily quests work?

Every day you get 3 new quests (tap Quests on the main screen). Each pays coins. Finish all three for a daily chest; on the 7th day in a row it’s a Legendary Chest. If you miss a day, the streak starts again. Quests change at midnight on your device.

What are the chances in chests?

The odds for every chest are shown in the Shop next to the chest, before you open it. Every part is rolled on its own: first its rarity, then a ball of that rarity, all equally likely except your wish ball.

How do free chests work?

In the Shop you can watch a short video to open a chest for free: up to 3 Wooden and 1 Iron Chest a day, and a Legendary Chest every 3 days. The daily count resets at midnight on your device.

Do skins make my ball stronger?

No. Skins and courts only change the look. Every ball has its own three skins. Collect their parts from Skin Chests (3, 5 or 8 parts for a Rare, Epic or Legendary skin) and court parts from Court Chests (4, 6 or 10). Extra parts turn into coins.

How do I change my name?

Tap your name at the top of the main screen, then Edit name. Names must be friendly; we may hide names that are offensive or impersonate someone in online matches.

How do I remove ads?

Buy No Ads in Shop → Coins. It removes the ads that play between matches. Free-chest videos stay available if you want the extra chests.

Can I buy chests?

Yes: Shop → Coins has bundles of Legendary Chests and Skin Chests. They are the same chests with the same odds as in the Shop; they wait in Shop → Chests (or Skins) until you open them, one at a time.

I bought something on a new phone and it’s missing

Tap Restore purchases at the bottom of Shop → Coins. No Ads comes back on any device that uses your Apple Account. The Starter Pack can only be bought once; its coins and chest aren’t given again, and coins you bought can’t be restored.

Can I move my progress to another phone?

Not yet. Your progress is stored on your device, so deleting the game deletes it. Cloud saves are on our list.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How old do I have to be?

The Ball Game is meant for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before buying anything.
